Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to explain that on January 25th I bought a digital camera in the website of Express Accessories. I received the digital camera at home five days later but when I opened the box was completely broken.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction about the product, because in the website it was said clearly that the sale products were of high quality. However, in the website there was an address where you can send any complaint. And I have used this address to send this one.

I received no apology and I was not offered a refund but it was clearly to see that the box was broken. I called your costumer services department in order to discuss the situation. However, I did not clarify anything. This caused me considerable embarrassment because the digital camera should be a present for my boyfriend. Now I ask you, to receive a new digital camera as soon as possible.

I would be grateful if you could look into this matter urgently.

How you imagine your life will be by 2050?

I think that my life will be very different by 2050 because I will have had new experiences and I will have done many things.

I will have finished the Secondary School and I will have studied at the University. I will be working as a teacher at school because I like teaching children. I will be living in a very beautiful house in Paris because it is a very exciting city.

Moreover, I will have married and I will have had a large family because I think it is very funny. I won’t have been rich so I will have received a little sum of money given by the government.

In conclusion, I believe I will be a very happy person because I will have and success, at home and a job.

Girls and boys should be taught separately

Most people agree that girls and boys are different, so they say that because boys and girls are different, they should be taught separately. However, there are also disadvantages to single-sex schools.

On the one hand, if girls and boys are taught separately, they do not distract each other. For this reason, pupils can concentrate more on their studies. What’s more, teachers can change their teaching style to suit their students. Boys and girls learn differently!

On the other hand, students have to learn to live together on the outside world. If they learn separately they prevent boys and girls from learning to work together and have a good socializing. Moreover, if boys and girls are not in the same class it could make them uncomfortable with each other.

In conclusion, I think that women and men should study together because both sexes learn how to cooperate and how to prepare for the real world.

Write an opinion essay about how the use of the Internet has changed our lives

Nowadays the use of the Internet has changed our lives a lot because it offers a lot of websites to help people in different ways.

Firstly people can do their daily shopping. You can buy casual clothes for example boots, dresses and all kind of accessories. Also you can provide ecological vegetables and products from fair trade or high tech gadgets.

Furthermore people are too busy with their studies or the jobs so they can send their messages quicker and easier. In addition, you send the message not individually but also to a great number of friends and relatives at the a some time.

The Internet is very useful to search information about a special topic mainly for the students when they have to do a project.

In conclusion, Internet has changed the traditional methods of communication, of doing shopping or looking for information.

Describe what you would do if you could take a gap year before going to university

I think if I could take a gap year before going to university; I would go to work in touring countries as a waitress.

Firstly, if I could work abroad I would meet a lot of new people and I could practise different languages, mainly the English. Also, I could earn some money and save it to spend with my studies at university.

Secondly, living and working away from home clearly would help me to become more independent and more matured. And I should take my own decisions.

I think that during my gap year I would acquire more knowledge about more countries and their cultures and have a unique experience living on my own. When I have developed a bit further I will be more concentrated and study better at university.

How are things? Thanks for your email. It was great to hear from you! I’m sorry I haven’t written for ages, but I’ve been working hard.

It’s a good idea to participate in a Gorilla Fun Run. Last month I took part in a Marathon and I prepared well. If you want to be fit you shouldn’t eat junk food and you shouldn’t smoke. Also, you should have a balanced diet and you should go to the gym. You should cut chocolate out of your diet now. You can calculate your BMI if you know you height and your weight.

Next summer I’m going to swim in the North Sea because the cold water is healthy.

I hope you get a good place in the race after training so hard.

A frightening experience

Last year I had a horrible experience. I was staying with my boyfriend in Port Aventura during the Halloween festival. We has been walking and thinking of which attraction we were going to get on when suddenly we saw four strange monsters.

We immediately started to scream and run because we were alone. At first we hid in a toilet but the monsters followed us. I was frightened and petrified because it was dark and nobody was there.

But after five minutes when the coast was clear we decided to go out and went to the twain door, but there were the strange creatures again. What a big surprise!

As they came closer to us, and took off the costumes, we realised they were some friends who wanted to make fun. We’ll definitely think twice about going to Port Aventura at Halloween in future!

1. Do you believe that people have really seen UFOs? Why/Why not? What other explanations could there be for UFOs sightings?

I think nobody has ever seen UFOs because news of the event had been on TV, press and radio, as it is an exceptional event on the world that would be an important event in the history of humans. I think nobody has seen UFOs because there isn’t life other planets, or because we are more technologically advanced.

2. What things do you like about yourself? What things do you dislike about yourself?

I like about me, my form to see the life and know that most important for me and people I love. But the thing I dislike me is my form to say things sometimes and others of being proud.

3. When was the last time you had an argument with your parents? Why?

I argue with my mother last weekend because it was sent to do some days I work from home and did not, so we discussed and were angry.

4. Name 3 things you like and 3 things you hate about school.

I like this high school the place where it is because where in my village and I don't like some teachers and the short time at the break time.

5. Are you superstitious? Do you believe in ghosts? Explain.

I'm not superstitious because I don't think the ghost exist or any other fantastic creatures, because anybody has demonstrated scientifically that they exist.

6. Name 2 things you hate doing around the house.

I hate tidying my bedroom because when I do it is the morning and I'm tired. I hate ironing too because it takes me a long time and it is very tired.

7. What would you do if a friend gave you an expensive shirt that you thought was awful?

I would say that I don’t like the T-shirt and ask if it was possible to change it.

8. If we keep on polluting our environment, the world will disappear in 100 years. What can be done to preserve our environment?

I think the world won't end in 100 years, because people are already doing the possible trying not to keep on polluting our environment.

9. How do you picture the world in 200 years from now? Explain.

I think that in the earth technology and science will have developed a lot and everything will be placed differently.

10. Have you ever been robbed / had a serious problem on a holiday? Explain.

Two years ago, I couldn't go to holidays in London because before going there my mother had a domestic accident and she had to spend two days in hospital.

11. Can men and women do all jobs equally well?

Yes, I think the men aren't better than women, because they do the same jobs; it depends on your skill.

12. Tell me a famous person you would like to meet. Why? How would you spend a day with him/her?

I would love meeting the singer of Love of Lesbian, Santi Balmes because it is my favourite group of music and I would go with him to star bucks and then I'd go to their concert which would be placed in my village.

13. Have you got enough freedom as a teenager. Do you think your parents should be more or less strict? Explain.

My parents are strict but always let me do what is asked because I'm a responsible person and they know. For this reason I have freedom a teenage.

14. What are your plans for this year? How do you see yourself in 10 years time? Explain.

My plans for this year are finished 2n BAT. And in ten years I working that I have studied in other countries.

I would do during that year travel as much possible and knowing all possible countries.

I would say to my best friend and she to do the most correct with him. I wouldn't put in your relationship.

The best film I have seen is “El Orfanato”, because is a mysterious and interesting film.

I would say her that our friendship had finished forever.

The world needs more justice, democracy, equality, happiness…

The best thing about being a teenager is doesn’t have many responsibilities because live on your parents. And the worst thing is I have study.

The most interesting person I have ever met is my aunt because she is a woman who has a very intensive and funny life.

If I won the lottery, I would save some of I but I would also buy a lot of things and I would travel around the world.

No, I wouldn’t like to attend a single -sex school because girls and boys have to coexist in the same society and share the daily life at home, at school and at work.

In my first date I would go to the cinema and then I would go to have dinner at a restaurant because it is very romantic.

I think that celebrities are public figures and they haven't privacy live, because this is the only disadvantage be famous.

I think the worst TV show is Big Brother because it’s horrible what people say and how they act. They are not a good example to follow.

I think that people make choices influenced by family, brothers and sisters and friends mainly when they are teenagers but the advertisements, television and games help to make decisions.

If I could be somewhere I would be at the mountain walking through the woods and picking up some flowers for my vases because it’s the best way to be calm and peaceful.

If I were an animal I would be a lion because I would like to be the best king in the world.

12. Tell me something your family does (parents, brother, sister…) which really annoys you.

I don’t like when my parents tell me what time I have to come back at night when I go out with my friends. Every week we have an argument for the same reason and I tell them that it is why they don’t trust on me.

13. If you were on holidays and you met someone you would never see again, would you invent stories to make yourself more interesting? Explain.

No I think that people should be natural and show their personal traits since they start a relationship. I would never look different as I am.

14. “If I were a member of the opposite sex I would…” be the best boyfriend. I would love my girlfriend with mad, I would ask her to engage me and then to marry me.
